The highly anticipated wait is over! The first two shows of the school year were announced at the 2009 Dusty Awards ceremony where students received audition information for the fall play.
The fally play, Twelve Angry Jurors, will be performed October 1-3 in the auditorium. It will be a modern adaptation of the famous drama, starring Drew Davis, Aaron Homard, Nick Clark, Allison O'Braza, Kyle Utke, John Preston, Edward Rodriguez, Alyssa Gourd, Cassie Tant, Anna Swan, Jay Jacobson, Carolyn Thorn, and Michael Roby. The winter play, Little Shop of Horrors, is about a guy named Seymour who buys a "strange and unusual plant from an old Chinese guy." The plant brings huge success to Seymour's work and lands him with Audrey, the girl of his dreams. But soon Seymour discovers that to keep the plant alive he must give it blood. How long will he be able to keep feeding it and will he loose Audrey if he doesn't feed the plant? Find out in Hoover's performance of this hillarious musical!
The spring play hasn't been announced yet, but Director Chelsea Cunningham said she's looking for a play that will allow a big cast!
With senior one-acts, Comedy Fest, and IHSSA contests thrown into the mix, the 2009-2010 school year will be one huge adventure! Audition for as many of these or watch all of these amazing productions.
